The Area

There is something for everyone four seasons of the year in Winneconne.

Winneconne becomes a bee hive of activity early in the spring during the famous walleyed pike run in the Wolf River. People gather from all over Wisconsin and many from outside the state for this annual event.

And just as the lilacs are a prelude to summer, so is the arrival of the white bass fishing season.

Picture of tranquil waters in Winneconne area. In the summer it's more fishing, combined with pleasure boating, houseboating, water skiing, sailing, canoeing, swimming, sun bathing and every other conceivable summer-related sport including softball, golf, camping, picnicing, tennis, and hiking.

But what about fall . . . how about duck hunting, pheasant hunting, football, hiking, hickory nutting, deer hunting, to say nothing of more fishing.

And then there is winter . . . and time for snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, curling, and even down hill skiing less than an hour's drive away. The village of Winneconne, Wisconsin, located in the heart of the "Lake Winnebago System".
